8 finalists will be selected to compete in the final round in Shah Alam on 19th September 2026 to deliver their prepared speech and an impromptu speech

Camera is positioned at eye-level
No cuts, filters, voice enhancement, or special effects
Voice is clear and audible throughout the recording
Speaker remains fully visible throughout the speech
Eight (8) finalists from each category will be selected to compete in the Grand Final.
Finalists will be required to:
Category A: 4 – 6 minutes
Category B: 5 – 7 minutes
Category C: 6 – 8 minutes
2. Deliver an Impromptu Speech
All categories: 1 – 2 minutes

Yes. Participants who fulfil the competition requirements will receive a certificate of participation.
No. Participation in the competition is completely free of charge.
Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Participants ranked 9 and onwards will be contacted to take their place.
All speeches must be delivered in English.
Participants are required to record and upload their speech video according to the instructions provided by the organisers upon registration.
Basic editing such as trimming the beginning or end of the video is allowed. However, edits that alter the speech performance, including cuts during the speech, voice enhancement, dubbing, or special effects, are not permitted.
No. Each participant is allowed to submit only one speech video.
If multiple videos are submitted by the same participant, only the first video received will be accepted and considered for evaluation. Any subsequent submissions will be disregarded
Video submissions that do not comply with the competition guidelines may be subject to penalties, rejection, or disqualification at the organisers’ discretion.
Yes. The official speech titles for the Prepared Speech category will be announced at the launch of the competition.
Participants are required to select one title from the list provided for their respective category and use the same title for both the Preliminary Round and the Grand Final (if selected as a finalist).
For the Impromptu Speech category, topics will not be disclosed in advance and will only be revealed during the Grand Final.
Participants must select and deliver a speech based on one of the official topics provided for their respective category.
Any participant who delivers a speech that is not based on an official topic, or who substantially deviates from the selected topic, may be disqualified from the competition at the organisers’ discretion.
An impromptu speech is a short speech delivered on a topic announced on the day of the competition. Participants will be given a limited preparation time before speaking.
No. Assistance from parents, teachers, coaches, or any third party during the impromptu speech segment is strictly prohibited.
Participants may use AI tools for research, idea generation, or language improvement. However, they must understand, own, and authentically deliver their speech content. Plagiarism and wholly AI-generated submissions are not encouraged and may affect evaluation.
No. The judges’ and organisers’ decisions are final, and appeals will not be entertained.
Finalists will be contacted via the email address and/or phone number provided during registration. Results may also be announced through official competition channels.
RULES & REGULATIONS
Primaly National Public Speaking Championship 2026
1. Eligibility
1.1 The competition is open exclusively to Malaysian citizens.
1.2 Participants must be enrolled in a primary or secondary educational institution in Malaysia in the year 2026.
1.3 The competition is divided into the following categories:
• Category A: 10–12 years old
• Category B: 13–15 years old
• Category C: 16–17 years old
1.4 Participants must compete in the category corresponding to their age as of 31 December 2026.
1.5 Immediate family members of employees of Bravometer Sdn. Bhd. are not eligible to participate.
2. Competition Format
2.1 The competition consists of two stages:
• Preliminary Round (Online Video Submission)
• Grand Final (Face-to-Face in Shah Alam, Selangor)
2.2 Participants shall submit a recorded speech during the Preliminary Round.
2.3 The top eight (8) participants from each category will advance to the Grand Final.
2.4 Finalists will compete in both:
• Prepared Speech
• Impromptu Speech
3. Registration
3.1 Participants must complete the official registration process before the stated deadline.
3.2 Participation in the competition is free of charge.
3.3 Registration is non-transferable.
3.4 Any false, inaccurate, or misleading information may result in immediate disqualification.
3.5 The organisers reserve the right to verify participant information at any stage of the competition.
4. Preliminary Round (Online Video Submission)
4.1 Participants must submit an original video recording of their speech.
4.2 Speech duration shall be: 3 minutes
4.3 Submitted videos must:
• Clearly show the participant’s face and body waist upwards throughout the speech.
• Contain no edits, cuts, or visual effects that alter the speech performance.
• Be recorded in English.
4.4 The use of costumes, slides, or visual aids is not permitted unless otherwise stated by the organisers.
4.5 Participants are responsible for ensuring that videos are submitted before the deadline.
4.6 Late submissions will not be accepted.
5. Grand Final
5.1 Finalists must attend the Grand Final in person at the designated venue in Shah Alam, Selangor.
5.2 Travel, accommodation, and related expenses shall be borne by the participants.
5.3 Failure to attend the Grand Final will result in forfeiture of the participant’s place.
5.4 Prepared Speech duration:
• Category A: 4–6 minutes
• Category B: 5–7 minutes
• Category C: 6–8 minutes
5.5 Impromptu Speech duration:
• All categories: 1–2 minutes
5.6 The format and preparation time for the impromptu speech will be announced by the organisers before the competition.
6. Speech Requirements
6.1 All speeches must be delivered in English.
6.2 Participants must select and deliver a speech based on one of the official titles provided by the organisers for their respective category.
6.3 Participants may not alter, combine, or replace the official titles with their own topics.
6.4 Speeches must be relevant to the selected title. Judges may penalise speeches that deviate significantly from the assigned topic.
6.5 All speeches must be suitable for a school-aged audience and should promote respectful, responsible, and constructive discussion.
6.6 Content containing hate speech, discrimination, obscenity, personal attacks, or offensive material is strictly prohibited.
6.7 Participants must deliver original speeches.
6.8 Plagiarism, including substantial copying from books, websites, articles, speeches, or other sources, is prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification.
6.9 The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for brainstorming, research, language refinement, or idea generation is permitted. However, participants must demonstrate ownership, understanding, and authentic delivery of their speech content.
6.10 The organisers reserve the right to investigate and disqualify any participant whose speech is found to be plagiarised, wholly generated by third parties, or otherwise not representative of the participant’s own work and abilities.
6.11 The organisers reserve the right to reject or disqualify any speech that is deemed inappropriate, defamatory, unlawful, or inconsistent with the objectives of the competition.
7. Judging Criteria
7.1 Speeches will be evaluated based on:
• Content
• Delivery
• Clarity
• Relevance
7.2 Judges may also consider audience engagement, language proficiency, and overall effectiveness of communication.
7.3 All judging decisions are final and binding.
7.4 Scores and judges’ comments may not be disclosed.
7.5 Appeals and disputes regarding results will not be entertained.
8. Code of Conduct
8.1 Participants must conduct themselves respectfully at all times.
8.2 Unsportsmanlike conduct, disruptive behaviour, cheating, or attempts to influence judges may result in disqualification.
8.3 During the impromptu speech round, participants may not receive assistance from parents, teachers, coaches, or other individuals.
9. Awards and Certificates
9.1 Winners will receive trophies, certificates, and prizes as determined by the organisers.
9.2 Certificates will be issued only to participants who fulfil the participation requirements determined by the organisers.
9.3 Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
10. Media and Publicity
10.1 By participating in the competition, participants and their parents/guardians consent to photography, videography, and audio recording during all stages of the competition.
10.2 The organisers reserve the right to use participants’ names, photographs, video recordings, speeches, and competition-related materials for promotional, educational, publicity, and reporting purposes without additional compensation.
10.3 Such usage may include websites, social media platforms, printed materials, news coverage, and future promotional campaigns.
11. Data Protection
11.1 Participants and parents/guardians consent to the collection, processing, and storage of personal data for purposes related to the administration and management of the competition.
11.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable Malaysian data protection laws.
11.3 Limited participant information may be shared with official partners, sponsors, and collaborators solely for purposes related to the competition.
12. Organisers’ Rights
12.1 The organisers reserve the right to amend these rules and regulations where necessary.
12.2 The organisers reserve the right to postpone, modify, suspend, or cancel any stage of the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
12.3 In all matters relating to the competition, the decision of the organisers shall be final.
